The belief that computers and mobile devices would make our modern world paperless has famously been proven wrong. In fact, paper still makes up 12.9% of the global forest products Footprint, which is equivalent to 5% of our planet’s forest biocapacity.

How much paper do you use? What about those bills that are available online anyway? Or those printouts at work that barely get a glance from anyone before being shoved in a corner or in the bin? What can you do in your world to reduce paper waste? Organize an awareness campaign in the office? Enroll friends and colleagues on moving to electronic payments and billing? Other ideas?

I pledge to choose 1 action to reduce paper waste in my world and celebrate by sharing a picture or video of my last flying paper airplane.
